Privacy Policy
zBrandco respects your privacy. This explains what we collect when you visit zbrandco.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.
The short version
In short
We collect as little as possible, never sell your data, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data any time.
This policy explains what zBrandco collects when you visit zbrandco.com, why, and the choices you have. The plain-English summary is in the green box at the top of each section; the full detail follows.
Who we are & scope
zBrandco is an independent tech publication operated from India and the data controller for zbrandco.com. This policy covers the website and our email newsletter. It does not cover third-party sites we link to. Privacy questions go to editorial@zbrandco.com.
What we collect
In short
Standard server/analytics logs, the email you give us for the newsletter, and anything you send us through the contact form.
- Collected automatically — standard server logs and analytics: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from.
- You give us — your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter; your name, email, and message if you use the contact form.
- Cookies & similar tech — small files for essential functions, remembering your light/dark theme preference, and analytics. See Cookies & analytics.
How we use it
We use this information to operate and secure the Site, send the newsletter you asked for, respond to messages you send us, understand aggregate traffic so we can improve coverage, and comply with our legal obligations. We do not use your data for automated decisions that significantly affect you.
Cookies & analytics
In short
Essential cookies plus privacy-respecting analytics. You can clear or block cookies in your browser any time.
We use a small number of cookies: essential cookies for core site functions, a preference cookie that remembers your light/dark theme, and analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics (via the Google Site Kit plugin) and built-in WordPress/Jetpack statistics to measure traffic in aggregate. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings; essential functions may not work without them.
Newsletter & email
In short
The newsletter runs on Jetpack/WordPress.com. We only email you what you signed up for, and there’s a one-click unsubscribe in every issue.
Our newsletter is powered by Jetpack and processed by Automattic, Inc. (WordPress.com) on our behalf. When you subscribe, your email address (and any topics you choose) are stored to deliver the editions you asked for. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can manage or delete your subscription at any time.
Advertising & affiliates
In short
We currently run no ads and no affiliate links. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and disclose it clearly.
We currently do not display third-party advertising and run no affiliate links. If we introduce either in future, partners (such as ad networks) may set their own cookies, and we will update this policy and label affected content before doing so.
Sharing & third parties
In short
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data with the processors that operate the Site on our behalf: Automattic / Jetpack (newsletter and stats), Google (analytics), and our hosting provider Hostinger. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their services to us.
Your rights & choices
In short
Access, correct, delete, or port your data — and opt out any time. Just email us.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing (EU/UK GDPR). California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request to know or delete their information and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal data — note that we do not sell personal data. To exercise any right, email editorial@zbrandco.com and we will respond within the time required by law.
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected: newsletter data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it; contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry; and analytics/logs for a limited period in line with our providers’ defaults. We then delete or anonymise it.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers & security
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States; where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
In short
We may update this policy; the “updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
We may update this policy as the Site or the law evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “updated” date above and, where appropriate, noted on the Site.
