PlayStation will ship Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition for PS5 on October 1, bundling the 2025 action game with a new story expansion and a roguelike combat mode in a single $69.99 purchase PlayStation Blog. Owners who already bought the base game can upgrade for $14.99, and everyone who owns the title gets a free October 1 patch with new modes and quality-of-life fixes.
Echoes of Sekigahara is a new narrative expansion that splits between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland, where she meets Nagato, a figure from her past who has arrived in Ezo PlayStation Blog. Players revisit the Battle of Sekigahara and explore a valley once inhabited by the Snake and his Vipers, with new heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes, and enemies.
Most Wanted is a new single-player combat survival mode built as a roguelike: accept bounties to start runs, earn perks by defeating enemies, and unlock additional playable characters such as Oyuki with the kusarigama and Nagato with the yari PlayStation Blog. It joins Legends, the online co-op mode that supports up to four players and culminates in a Raid.
The Complete Edition also includes all previously released Digital Deluxe Edition content and the Charm of Hokkyokusei, while a pre-order placed by September 30 grants an early unlock of the Sakai Armor on October 1 PlayStation Blog. The base game earned positive reviews, with outlets such as GameSpot and Game Informer scoring it 9/10 and Push Square calling it a contender for game of the year on the official PlayStation product page PlayStation.
A free patch arriving October 1 adds the Beauty of Yōtei ambient mode, new Watanabe Mode music tracks, an option to keep one armor set’s appearance while using another’s stats, and a high-contrast accessibility toggle PlayStation Blog. Sony clarified on August 14 that the Watanabe Mode tracks ship in the free patch rather than being locked behind the paid upgrade. The update goes live as patch v2.0 on October 1 worldwide and October 2 in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
