The update’s headline is a linear story mission set in a darker, oppressive Bolivia. Los Penitentes, a fanatical cult led by a figure called La Llorona, controls the territory. The narrative shifts as players advance, with scattered documents and audio recordings revealing the cult’s twisted ideology. Gameplay customization expands significantly. New Ghost Parameters in the Options menu let players toggle instant death, limitless revives, one or two primary weapons, and ammo retention on reload. World and Session Settings in the Lobby page hand over control of weather, time of day, alarms, jammers, enemy patrol rates, and friendly fire. HUD and UI options become more granular, and Difficulty settings now expose Enemy Perception, Endurance, and Vehicle Breakability sliders.
The update unlocks all Ghost War PvP classes for free in the in-game store, alongside previously unreleased camos and challenge rewards. New Character Smith items celebrate the Ghost Recon 25th Anniversary, and completing Last Rites grants a mysterious Operator Skin. PlayStation Plus members receive an exclusive La Llorona Iconic Skin, the P416 Micteca, and 4-SHUR Blue Leader Sunglasses.
