Siri AI — Not an Update, a Replacement

The privacy architecture is on-device first, with Private Cloud Compute for heavier requests. Apple says no request data is stored or accessible to Apple.

Spatial Reframing lets you improve composition after capture — shift aspect ratio, reposition subject, fill edges with generative AI. Works on any photo in library.

Verdict — Should You Care?

If you’re on iPhone 15 Pro or newer: The dedicated Intelligence app + Siri AI + Spatial Reframing are genuine daily-driver upgrades. Worth the September update.

If you’re on iPhone 14 or older: No Apple Intelligence support. iOS 27 still brings performance gains (app launch, AirDrop) but the AI features are hardware-gated.
